"I chose this hotel based on location. I found the pool woukd be closed after booking.. Expedia shouid update the profile. Nevertheless, I was very pleased with the location, the huge breakfast selections (on top of which one can ask for made to order additional egg dishes), the room, the spa, etc. The best however are without a doubt the people at every position. Each person was wonderfully helpful in guiding me to tour bookings, restaurants, museums, etc. I stayed several days. Each evening I returned delighted with the experiences the staff had recommended. Based on previous reviews of this hotel, I took a risk in not booking some tours ahead of arrival. I'm so glad I waited. Not only did I save hundreds of dollars, I'm certain my experiences were of equal caliber to what I might have rebooked. The staff really know Athens and Greece. They were able to help me plan what to do, where to go, etc, on the days I had available."

"This was a one partial night stay - we had to be at the airport early to catch a 6am flight to Amsterdam. Restaurant service good - the pasta portions are huge so share with your travel partner or order something smaller. Room was nice with good hot water for showering. One overhead light was burnt out. Front desk arranged for early 3am transport to airport. Traffic light at that time so we got there in record time. Allow extra time if going during work/rush hours. Did not use any facilities like the pool. Bed comfy as were the pillows. "

"Check in initially went well. We were told we were given a room upgrade. The room was definitely not an upgrade!! The floor was under construction and the noise level was extremely loud! A lot of hammering and drilling. When we inquired how long the noise would continue, we were told it was from 9am to 9 pm. We asked for a quieter room and the front desk reacted with an attitude and our room was downgraded. There is no way the hotel did not know about the noise on this floor and they never seemed apologetic for assigning us to a room on it."

"I stayed at this hotel because of its close proximity to the airport. That worked out well for me. I have stayed at other Sofitel hotels before, and I thought that this one compared unfavorably with those. The hotel could use a refresh to bring up its standards. I dined in one of the restaurants for dinner and I found my food disappointing."
