"Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed (but pillows a bit hard), very good breakfast but other guests walking past or above our room made a bit of a noise. Overall a good stay and a good breakfast."

"Newly refurbished accommodation was to a very high standard. The bar also serves as a dining room and is not ideal in that mode, but the bar and other pub rooms are so traditional that the ambiance is extradinary. One could quite believe that it hasn’t changed at all in last 200 years!"

"The farm is in a secluded location with just the usual noise you d expect being on a working farm. The room was a great size, breakfast was lovely and the host was very accommodating in finding somewhere for me to charge my bikes battery. There is also a great room that can be used by all visitors if you don't want to sit in your bedroom alone. I'll happily stay here again next year while on my next ride in the area"

"Great, friendly/welcoming bar/front of house staff it makes a difference. Room was comfortable with a great shower, fluffy towels and very clean. Sunday lunch and the Thai fish cakes were tasty along with a good English breakfast. Very nice area and some awesome country walks nearby, a definite return when travelling up north. "

"After a seven hour drive from Skye in wet and stormy conditions, it was wonderful to arrive at Lanehead Old School where Lisa had lit the log burner in the large and comfortable hall and made me feel immediately at ease. The sleeping quarters are very cosy, with a separate bathroom and living room containing everything you need for a relaxed stay, best of all a very comfortable bed. Next morning breakfast was sumptuous, cooked to perfection by Lisa who is a super host. L’oasis a special place...
