"Great location with wonderful views of the sunset from the beach. The pools are very clean and well maintained and a good size. The breakfast is vast with many varieties of food on offer. The downside is the condition of rooms and other facilities was not upto standard for the standard of such a hotel. Specifically the room we stayed in was dated. The bathroom doors did not lock, the fridge was also not functioning properly. We had booked a second room where the AC was not working but staff...

"We loved our stay at the beachfront hotel! The staff was very nice and it was a perfect location to walk to downtown Tamarindo when it was nice weather, or just a short drive. There were a lot of ants in our room, but that is probably just the norm. We wish the paddle boards and surfboards were a little bit better kept, as there was only one paddle for the paddle boards, and it broke within a few minutes of using it. A few of the surfboards definitely needed some maintenance as well. The...

"This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE."

"We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect. "
