"Absolutely shocking the photos on the website are a fabrication.
I was told I was staying in another property down the road which on approach was dark, overflowing bags of rubbish and the front door propped open by a fire extinguisher.
The entrance and stairs were filthy and haven't been vacuumed for ages. Loose pills on the stairs, receipts, more rubbish and had to navigate over shoes, shopping bags, beer boxes and yet more rubbish.
And this was before I got into the room.
On entering, there...

"Easy to find and walking distance from station, and to stadium okay. Room and bathroom clean, nice we had two fans as heatwave! Rang as we had not received codes etc to get in but sent straight away.
Furniture bit old but fine for 1/2 night stay and good price ."

"For an overnight stay the Greenwich Pensioner is perfect. Very close to the O2, it's only a short trip on the 108. The staff couldn't be nicer.
The only downsides were the separate, communal bathroom and the fact that it is on the airport fly path, so peace and quiet is out.
Saying this, if you just want somewhere to sleep after a long day sightseeing this could just be the place for you."

"As we only needed to stay the night at the City Stay the hotel did exactly what was needed. The room itself could do with a basic revamp. The floor between the bedroom and toilet was worn, and flooring has warped and risen, making it a bit painful underfoot. The fans need to have a clean/dust as when we turned it on dust was sent around the room. Otherwise the room did what we needed."
