"We found the place easily. Parking was fine. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was small but fine for a night. The bed though was made with an old, dainty iron frame. It creaked a lot at the slight movement. Public transportation is nearby. We even walked back from downtown Edinburgh."

The staff are all friendly and clearly well trained. Breakfast is very busy as it seems guests from the neighbouring hotel join those at Westlands. "Great location and very good price. We stayed after a concert. So literally just slept there. Good that some parking was available too. V basic room but clean & airy. Tea and coffee facilities were good. No towels for bathroom or hand soap so that was abit of a shame. We got a little confused by the digital door key pads but the staff were v helpful and showed us how to use. Comfy beds and somewhere to rest before heading back off. Not the usual guest house or B&B set up but was clean, good...
