Worth staying in

It was a tradition b and b, a lovely host, with tea and cake prepared for us on our return. Breakfast was good, the rooms are dated, but I would recommend the place. A really nice host.

The breakfast was always wonderful. Everything was very clean. My biggest problem was the location. It was farther away from Cavan than I expected. In addition, I was unable to connect to cellular phone service from my room. Lastly, the owner advised me that she could not accept my credit card even though my credit card is from a European bank, only cash. Overall, I would not choose this property again regardless of the price.

Vivamente sconsigliato

All'arrivo ci troviamo davanti un giardino curatissimo, peccato che invece all'interno della struttura regnasse il caos, tipo accumulatore seriale. Ci sono oggetti ovunque che riempiono ogni spazio, rendendo l'ambiente soffocante. La sera del nostro arrivo noto che sui tavoli della colazione sono già presenti i flaconi delle salse (barbecue e ketchup) che, essendo già aperti, avrebbero dovuto essere in frigo! La camera a piano terra ha il bagno fuori dalla camera, ma ad utilizzo esclusivo, e tutti gli armadi occupati da abiti ed oggetti dei proprietari. Le tre camere al primo piano hanno un solo bagno in comune (cosa non segnalata sul sito!). Al primo piano si sente una forte e fastidiosa puzza dei cibi cucinati a colazione. Sebbene il corridoio sia invaso dai prodotti per le pulizie, la pulizia della camera lascia molto a desiderare, addirittura c'è un moscone morto appiccicato alla tenda della finestra. La federa del mio lettino era sporca, fortunamente in camera c'era un letto in più per cui ho scambiato i cuscini. Nelle camere ci sono bottiglie di cristallo da whiskey piene d'acqua, ma ovviamente non ci siamo fidati a berne. Le uova con pancetta della colazione erano bruciacchiati, e si sentiva forte la stessa puzza che si sente al piano superiore. Sul tavolo c'erano le salse che avevamo visto la sera prima, e addirittura c'era un flacone di salsa completamente vuoto. La marmellata era scarsa e di sapore sgradevole. Ovviamente non lo consiglio.

People where very nice, very friendly. Couldn't fault their hospitality. Breakfast very nice. Both myself and my father thought the room was cold and when we got in are beds they felt cold and the bedding felt damp. If we had stayed another night I would have said something.

Had a problem finding it as it was not on a street called Cloverhill in Belturbet but outside a village called Cloverhill that was 5 miles away from Belturbet. Room was 1970's decor and needs updating.

Cloverhill--great hosts!

Terrific warmth from the hosts [...] and [...]. They went out of their way to be helpful and make us feel at home and comfortable. [...] really made an effort to help us find out about genealogy information. We enjoyed exploring the countryside and seeing historical sites as well as nearby towns. It was a real treat to spend time at Fortview House.

Fortview House - warm and relaxing

We had a lovely time exploring the countryside and also looking for genealogy information. [...] went out of her way to make us feel at home and also to help us in our search for genealogic resources in the area. She also gave good ideas for sights to see, activities, and where to get food. The location is quiet and restful. Farm animals are fun to see along the roads and they have 3 horses and cattle in nearby fields. A pub is a short walk from the house. Anglers were also staying there and reported being helped by the host's husband, [...], to find good fishing and to use his boat. We felt like we could have our privacy but interact when we wanted to. A good vacation spot with warm hosts.
