"Deeply Disappointed – Zero Support from Expedia and Grand Residences
I am extremely disappointed in both Expedia and Grand Residences Riviera Cancun for their complete lack of support and accountability during a period of active travel restrictions. My request was simple: change my travel dates due to the U.S. travel advisory in effect at the time. I did not ask for a cancellation, I did not ask for a refund—only a date modification so I could still enjoy the stay at a later, safer time.
I reached out to both the hotel and Expedia before my scheduled arrival, well within a reasonable window, and was bounced back and forth with no real assistance from either side. Despite documented attempts to resolve this ahead of time, my request was denied, the waiver was refused, and I was ultimately labeled a No Show, which is both inaccurate and unacceptable.
The level of service from both parties was pathetic. Neither Expedia nor Grand Residences showed any willingness to accommodate a reasonable request during a period of known travel restrictions. The lack of empathy, flexibility, and basic customer care was astonishing.
After this experience, I will not book with Expedia again, nor will I consider staying at Grand Residences in the future. Disappointed!!! Travelers deserve better than being ignored, dismissed, and penalized for circumstances outside their control."
