"I would stay here again. The staff were excellent. I asked for early check in and was granted it. It is never guaranteed. But you can always ask. The place was modern and very nice and comfortable."
"Hotel was ok. Staff was nice. Long line to get omelets in the morning and breakfast was only until 9 am, too early for spring break with kids and a check out at 11 am.
Pool was not very clean.
Overall an ok hotel but not great for the price (you pay an extra $15/night for parking as well)"
"This is probably my 5th time staying at the Dunes. It's become my home away from home when I'm in Palm Springs. Great staff. Clean. Well maintained. Affordable. Walkable to downtown PS - love taking a morning walk."
"Clean rooms. Great service. Property is older but good shape. Pool area nice but lots of families so if looking for adults only, this is not your place. Poolside bar/snack place is decent. Cabanas for rent are a nice touch. Golf course on property is a really good deal! Not a super fancy course but price was right and lots of fun/challenging. All villas have full kutchen."
"What was supposed to be a relaxing, first-time trip to Palm Springs turned into a very disappointing experience.
During our stay, multiple restaurants and bars on the property were closed, and the pools were also unavailable. None of this was communicated to us ahead of time. We later found out that the majority of the hotel had been rented out to a large group, which clearly impacted the overall guest experience.
Unfortunately, the lack of transparency was only part of the issue. Staff consistently provided conflicting and inaccurate information, which made it difficult to plan anything and added to the frustration. Overall, the service felt disorganized and unwelcoming.
While the resort fee was waived, it did not adequately address the extent of the inconvenience and disruption to our stay.
Would not recommend based on this experience.

"So much potential! Awesome vibe and staff. Great pool and view but the purple carpet needs to go! Cleanliness of rooms was fine but the carpet makes everything look run down and dirty. Staff was awesome and overall a really fun stay!!"
