"This is a charming older hotel with very helpful, friendly staff and a lovely overlook over the river. The room we had was great, updated & spotless.
The slight hesitation I have is simply that it is a very old building structurally and had a slightly musty (to me) smell in the lobby/hallway.
In addition, I was surprised to learn, only a couple of days before our arrival, that as an old building with a pub on the main floor, there could well be a fait but of sound travel to the rooms above the pub.
We were given a room far from the pub and heard very little.
Overall a very good experience"
