Great surprise near Bilbao

Surprise little hotel in a great location. We weren't sure how this hotel near Bilbao was going to work out, but the location was outstanding, and very interesting. Easy access to Bilbao. Highy recommend it. The hotel restaurant was a little lacking, but there were many other food options.

We stayed at the property before starting walking the Camino Norte. This is a high end hotel but is reasonably priced. The hotel is located in an old historical building in Portugalete right next to the unique hanging bridge. We enjoyed our stay here.

Great staff who assisted us no end. Hotel a little difficult to spot as you drive down the hill - better signage for hotel and their garage would be helpful. Right next to a remarkable river crossing.

This is a wonderful location by the river opening to the harbor nearby. The hanging bridge next door is a unique visit too. The hotel is rather elegant in an old-fashioned way ,
