"A basic lodging for travellers in a good location. It is surrounded by quite a number of eateries, pub, restaurants & fast foods. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. However my room is right next to the recycle bin area that noise appears whenever staffs dispose bottles and cans. I expected the noise stop at 10pm but it didn't. Sadly I was awake by the last noise at 11.30pm. Hopefully the hotel will address to this issue."

"We organised a one-night staycation and were unfortunately disappointed with the overall condition of the room. The couch was stained and overall cleanliness was terrible, the furniture felt outdated, and there was no dining table in the suite we booked. To make matters worse, the bathtub drainage wasn’t working properly, and the toilet flush button was also faulty. It was clear that the property hasn’t been maintained to the standard expected. "The room was large which I much appreciated, as I did the ability to check-in much earlier than I expected to be able to! The parking was good and the neighborhood was nice. We did run into some issues with the bathroom, it did not appear to have been dusted in awhile and there was a single cockroach. The bed was comfortable but some of the drawers in the room were broken."

"A centrally located Takapuna hotel, with well presented room and all the bells and whistles to make it a comfortable stay, with convenient free parking, would be my first choice again on my next visit to Auckland."

"Very spacious room. We only stayed 6h for sleep so unable to use a lot of amenities except for what is inside the bathroom. Left our car for valet but nobody knew how to drive manual transmission so my brother ended up parking the car himself."
