"I'll start by saying that the rating I've given for this booking is based on the lack of level of service and professionalism provided by the owner, Mr Solih and his manager and son Mr Hamdhaan. The property itself, the room and location were all as expected for the price. My dissatisfaction and that of another guest from Dubai was that the above mentioned treated you as a 'cash cow'. 1. "Vandhanen duede ikke og der var skimmelsvamp flere steder på værelset. Personalet var under alt kritik og der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset selvom vi bad om det. De opkrævede ekstra penge for at være to personer, hvilket vi ikke var blevet informeret om."

"The experience was ok, breakfast was good, they give you towels for the beach, and the air conditioning works perfectly, but the photos doesn’t match exactly as the ones advertised on hotels.com and not even similiar to the ones in google maps (it shows a swimming pool that doesn’t exist) it’s a few blocks from the prison and next to a mosque so prepare for the 430am prayers from really loud speakers, also there is doing a super loud construction of a building next door "

"A la llegada, todo bien,habia una chica en el aeropuerto de male indicándonos cómo llegar a la isla.Al puerto de mafuushi alguien vino a recogerme con un buggie.El hotel regular,ningún 4 estrellas.Diría yo una guest house.He pedido de comer y no lo tenían lo que pedí después que senté en la mesa y esperé un rato.La habitación muy espartana.Para hippie total.El baño ducha,water y lavabo (enano) todo en el mismo sitio ni siquiera separado por una cortina.No hay productos para ducharte o de estos...

"A estadia em Maafushi foi maravilhosa! Amamos! A equipe do hotel é maravilhosa e atenciosa! Única coisa que poderia ter no quarto é uma cortina de banheiro ou box para evitar que a água espalhe por todo o local! No mais, vale a pena, sendo que o hotel está próximo de tudo, inclusive da praia de biquíni e de restaurantes e locais de passeios. "

"Possitive: Value for money, good location, quite area, good sea view from our room, staff are very helpfull and kind, free pickup/drop off from/to the ship port, very clean, free usage of sea towels, 24/7 reception,shops near the hotel. Negative: Wifi have very bad signal and is very slow, poor breakfast, mosque is behind the hotel, no elevator in the hotel We had a very good stay in Velana hotel. I suggest the hotel."

"Nice hotel. Good sized room with fridge and kettle. Cups, tea, coffee not provided no tv in our room as it was broken but the Wi-Fi was good enough to stream from. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast basic but edible. Let down by a failure of anyone to meet us at airport for the transfer as arranged. Instead we made our own way from Male using private ferry and then walked. "

"Staying at Ocean Pearl Maldives was short but truly memorable. Although we only had one day to enjoy Gulhi Island, the staff's warmth and attentiveness made every moment count. They knew it was my birthday and went out of their way to make it special, decorating our bed with fresh flowers and even suggesting a birthday cake (which we paid for ourselves, but the thoughtful gesture was appreciated nonetheless).
