"Had to leave our cabin because of having asthma and no A/C during Canadian smoke. I called the hotel front desk and they were kind enough to let me know it was smoky there. Who does that? All the staff was friendly, kind, helpful, quick to respond and enjoyable to talk to. Rooms were clean and loved the big screen tv and the bigger fridge that we needed. Kudos to management! "This is an older hotel. Clean but needs some updates such as air conditioner on second floor for each indvidual room is in an enclosed hallway. The hotel location is close to everything including the fireworks and Mackinac ferry, and great restaurants. Price per night is good. Pool and hit tub is great too."

"Learned the hard way about bugs that plague this area end of June , beginning of July. I understand it’s something they cannot control. So fair warning if you’re traveling around this timeframe that lake flies will overwhelm you. Our balcony lake view was useless bc you can’t even hangout on it bc of the bugs. "Just OK! If you’re looking for a great deal, then this is your oasis. No frills Mom and Pop roadside motel. Pretty cheap to stay there, but there’s just a single knob lock on the door. No deadbolt So my wife felt like it lacked security. The second problem was the room smelled like mold. They had a Damp- Rid bucket placed in the bathroom that needed to be drained and refilled with new Damp-Rid material to continue the process of removing the mold and must out of the room. "Room was a good size for our family of 5. Breakfast was very sparse. Either toast of pancakes. No eggs or breakfast meat."
