"Area around hotel not the best. Glad we were not there at weekend, but hotel felt very secure. The locked, very expensive , underground parking. Lifts that required a room key to use them gave a good feeling of security. Good aircon , plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed made for a good stay. "I chose this hotel because I assumed it would be old fashioned and full of character. So it turned out to be. It is very conveniently located. Inside is very comfortable if a little tired in places. The chairs are buttoned leather and the clientele at the time I stayed were in their golden years. Our room was very spacious but oddly shaped. It all added to the charm. Recommended."

"I booked this hotel as I was attending a football match in the area. We didn’t stay the night though as the wind was bowling and howling in through one of the window seals. Let the property know but they haven’t offered a refund or discount, bit disappointing therefore wouldn’t stay again."
