"The ONLY negative thing I had to say was that I hated having to leave the building, just to go to the lobby LOL. Overall, it was a lovely place, staff were helpful and chill. We appreciated how hot the showers got too and how cozy the rooms were. Also being fairly close to the national parks was a plus."

"Very nice accommodation that is located close to the lake and the town. Staff was tremendously helpful. Room was very clean, tidy, and spacious. It felt like a home in the mountains."

"This was an excellent stay. We booked as a treat to celebrate and we were really pleased we did. We even got upgraded to lake side which was a lovely surprise. The property was lovely and tastefully decorated. The l'occitane products were very much welcomed. We got out around the lake at sunrise before the tourists came in and were treated to a lovely buffet breakfast after. The shuttle service worked well."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! It was perfect for my boyfriend and I for a romantic trip"

"Near the lake and main street;Very confortable bed for good sleep,."

"free parking"

"We were upgraded by a lovely young lady with red hair because we happened yo tell her it was my birthday/retirement gift from my husband! W I also got a complimentary piece of cheesecake and 2 complimentary drinks from the bar and a shuttle bus ticket good for our 3 days there! What a fabulous surprise! The pool and hot tub were over the top and really enjoyed the heated seats around the fire pit! We would recommend The Moxy to everyone! Really enjoyed the 60s ski resort decor vibe too!"

"Perfect rooms and area. Specially I got crazy about the wooden rooms and chimney. Just the restaurant staff were not that welcoming!"

"Hot tubs were nice."

"The hotel was very charming, and quiet. They had a very tasty breakfast bag you had to preorder and they also had coffee, tea and water available 24/7! The lobby was very cozy with a real fire place to sit in front of listen to the crackling. The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was the complimentary wine was only available on Friday-Sunday, even though it said daily. Not sure if it’s because it’s off season or not."

"The Douglas Fir is a wonderful place for a reasonably priced gate away in Banff. It's a bit older, but is very charming. The kitchens could be stocked a little better with cooking essentials. Really love the wood burning fireplace in the room."
