"We loved our little houseboat in Ponta Delgado. We were very fortunate that Sandra took good care of us. We arrived very early in the day and she let us sit in her office (where we nodded off after a long sleepless flight) and then allowed us to check in several hours early. We had unknowingly booked the smallest room with a single bed (that pulls out to a double) and a pull out bed. It was very nice but we wanted a slightly bigger space. Sandra took us to see two other units we could choose...

"Our stay at Whales Bay Hotel was quite wonderful. We loved every aspect of it. The appartments and the common areas are all kept spotlessly clean. The reception staff were really heplful and knowledgeable about the islands. The hot tub and the steam/sauna was a highlight of our day. There is nothing about the accomodation we did not like. We will very probably book again next year."

"This hotel is a hidden gem. It’s about four minutes from the airport and very quiet. The staff were incredibly kind. The villa was spotless, and we slept like a dream. Breakfast was delivered to the villa and it was very good. We also went to see the horses, it was fun. "

"The Farm is a small boutique hotel. We stayed in family room for 6 nights. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly with personalized service. The breakfast menu is small but offers everything you need for healthy, delicious meals and they prepare food to your liking. We didn't use the pool as it was cold outside but it looked very clean. The hotel has small banana plantation and you can enjoy eating bananas grown in there. There are also chicken and rabbits...

"The girl that it was at the front desk was super nice, the cleaning ladies were the best, being Americans we like a lot of towels and they gave us all the towels that we needed. Very clean location, this is the town that I was born and as always people are very nice and will go out of their ways to make people welcome. "

"Our experience at the hotel was fabulous. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I can say I didn't encounter any staff who weren't great. The room was spotless and a good size. Our balcony overlooked downtown and the harbour beyond. The breakfast included fruit, cheese and bread along with items such as omelettes cooked to order. We also, enjoyed our stop at the bar/restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable visit to Ponta Delgada. We would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Staff was very helpful and spoke great English. Breakfast had a lot of options and was delicious. Location was a little awkward to get to and awkward to get out of but that’s also what Ponta Delgada is like. bed was very comfortable. Washroom was clean."

"We clearly went in the off season, mid January, so there were few guests, which we didn’t mind at all. Free Breakfast buffet was excellent as was the hotel’s service the entire time."
