"My fourth stay at the Kalamazoo House didn't disappoint. As always, Amy is a delight and the breakfasts are a great start to a day. The room was in excellent condition and everything worked as expected. Can't wait to have an excuse to come back."

"I didn’t like the bathroom it was way to small and you could hear everything next door"

"We have stayed here twice and the staff, cleanliness, hotel ambiance and amenities are excellent. Check in staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is inexpensive and the staff is working hard to keep food refreshed and they were very pleasant. The hotel and eating areas are nicely decorated and comfortable too. We are happy to have found this hotel for when we visit family in Kalamazoo."

"Heat lamp in bathroom didn't work. Only one chair in room for two people (their pictures show two chairs in rooms). No clock or phone in room. Exercise room was inaccessible. Put senior citizens in a room farthest away from elevator, pool, and exercise room. The channel list for TV posted in room only included approximately one third of those available. Trash vehicle pickup at 4:15AM right outside our window. Dressers and nightstands were filthy (items left from previous occupants as well...

"The hotel was decent and the pool was nice, It was nice and quiet. You could not beat the price"

"The room was fine, and had a microwave and fridge. The shower was slippery, and water splashed everywhere because there was nothing separating it from the floor. The residents staying there would make most people uncomfortable. I believe several of them lived there. There was a lot of traffic in and out; people were sleeping in their cars, and working on cars in the parking lot."

"Disgusting, through the halls the smell was so bad. The smell lingered so bad it was on your clothing. Hand prints were everywhere on the glass and elevators. Blood, feces, urine and it all built up in corners and on the walls of the hotel."

"We were told that the rooms had kitchenettes, which, in fact they did not, and then we paid for four days. My husband went into the room, seen that there was bugs turned around and walked out, went to the desk and asked for a refund and we were told no that was $500 that they took from us that they refuse to refund even after we told them to keep the money for the one night and a refund the remaining days they told us no."

"Hotel was clean enough. But not CLEAN. The dust was noticeable on fixtures in the hallway, elevator was dirty. Pool tiles were missing and had a film on them. Bathroom sink was clean but shower had mold. Bed was super comfy. Pillows were great. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if passing through, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there."

"When we arrived on Friday July 3rd, we found that the door to our room was broken, would not lock. Asked front desk to have it fixed or change rooms. We were told that they had no maintenance available until Monday, and that they were fully booked. Told her we would have to cancel our reservations and find another hotel. She said that because we booked through Expedia, we would have to go back through them for a refund. Asked her to contact them, to make sure that I would get a full refund,...

"the first room we got was still dirty, bed wasn’t made and had a horrible smell. They were very helpful with getting us a new room but even then the comforter has lots of animal hair and stains on it and when I went to get a new one they said they did not have any clean ones."

"If you want a quiet sleep, request h a room not facing the freeway, but still a very nice place to stay."
