"We have stayed at this property many times. However, we have been disappointed almost every time because it has been a full house between the construction, and now the finished product. With the full capacity comes zero parking if you arrive after eight or 9 PM. On this particular trip, there were four semi’s parked in the parking lot and work trucks that were almost semi truck sized. No rhyme or reason to their parking- taking up multiple spaces. "Went to see UIUC campus and stopped here for the night. It was quieter because we came in July, and that might make a difference at other times, but this place was really convenient and our room was a good size. I didn’t think much of the pool but I had no time to use it anyway. Right next to campus. "
"This is a great option for independent-minded travelers who want something clean and spacious near the university. There is not much in the way of front desk staff but they communicated smoothly about check in and check out. There is an excellent bakery downstairs on the premises. The kitchen is stocked with basic pots, pans, utensils, etc. Tons of space. There is a bit of street noise as the property is at a busy intersection, so bring your earplugs just in case. Overall, good value."

"We had a very pleasant evening and morning at the Candlewood. Exactly what we needed: microwave to heat up dinner and coffee in the morning in the room. Countertops were nice in bathroom and kitchenette, big refrigerator and dishwasher. Better than average some cotton sheets! Staff very friendly and heloful. "
