"Fun and funky spot in an excellent location. This is a quirky hotel, some rooms have shared bathrooms, etc., but we booked a studio apartment style room with a full bathroom and kitchenette. Kitchen not well stocked -be sure you understand the rules and expectations regarding cooking in the unit ahead of time. We borrowed kitchen tools and made it work, so we were able to cook a couple of breakfasts and have leisurely coffee in our room. Fantastic view, we were in room 501. The location is perfect for walking to breweries, restaurants, and the Co-op. Appreciated how clean our room was when we arrived."
"The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were amazing. The hotel was so beautiful. Seeing the sea-lions was a treat to-see. The back patio looking at the water and bridge was memorizing . "
"I question the cleaning standards of housekeeping. Our toilet was still soiled as soon as we arrived (cleaned by front desk staff after notifying them), and the comforter on bed was visibly stained in areas that touch my face. Additionally the carpet in the room has a large wrinkle that I tripped over twice. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy but there were enough options to grab something, and it was a slight step up from the usual chain offerings. Staff was friendly, but the buggest plus was the location in town that's close to most everything in walking distance."
"This hotel is excellent for families and one of the only around with a suite large enough for all. Absolutely fabulous views of the bridge. Our teen boys LOVED the daily breakfast, and our 7 year old was constantly watching the birds on the shoreline and the ships going by. Small but clean and saltwater(!) pool. Trolley stop right behind the hotel, and 20 minute walk from downtown. Our only negative was the room was missing a tv (not a big deal to us, but our teens complained). Overall a great stay, our second time here in the family suite and we will be back—because Astoria is awesome "
"Parking was easy and safe. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. The trolley that takes you to town was a plus! Enjoyed watching the ships that were on the river. "
