"Once again booked at Crowne Plaza and their is renovation works underway. No advance warning again. On this occasion the lifts were under service/renovation. 20 minutes waiting on lifts that were full from the floors above. I dont know what has happened to the restaurant but the meals are getting worse and this one was the worst ever experienced. The steak meal was cold, undercooked and had a skin on it from the hot plate, the other was a burger, totally inedible and certainly not worth £19. The options for eating around the Hydro is limited and this was a better appeal for the Plaza, but will certainly think twice about booking for future visits. Cannot fault the reception or service staff."

"Staff on reception were lovely. Room was clean and bed was comfy, although pillows weren’t great - had to bunch it altogether as they’re too soft. Went to Sky bar in the afternoon, which was nice and the view is fantastic. Definitely the biggest selling point for the hotel. The breakfast was adequate but not great either. Have been here three times now as it’s handy for the Hydro, another selling point. Had a good stay. "

"The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants and other sights to see in Glasgow. The hotel was modern and clean, providing a lot of amenities. The location is also great, a short distance from the city center but still in a quieter, more open area."
