"Nice "

"The hotel is nice, however, they are advertised as a Spa Hotel and that is not the case. They have a pool, sauna and steam but they no longer have services such as massage treatments. The dinnner menu is nice but way over priced for what it is and the breakfast is definitely not worth it! The extra money they charge for a counter with a handful of bits is ridiculous. You are better of walking/driving into town and getting it. Coffee quality was awful. The phone in our room wasn't working so when...

"Breakfast was good overall, however would have expected to see black pudding on the hot choice and the choice of bread was poor as the brown was very dry. The coffee in the machines did not taste as a quality brand."

"Positives - beautiful hotel in great grounds. Had tea in the restaurant which was very good. Bed was huge. Negatives - couldn't get bath to work and my wife was kept awake during the night by noise in room next door. Use of the spa was £20 per person (which I was willing to pay) but was then told we couldn't use it until 5pm. We'd arrived at 3pm with plan to go in spa before our friends arrived later. "

"Rooms very clean & fresh; the Cleaners should be highly recommended; however, some of the general staff both in reception & restaurant needed a bit of training especially in customer service. I should say though George from the restaurant was very helpful. Directions to the pool & facilities were a bit hard to manoeuvre. "

"Breakfast menu and food was excellent- so fresh and delicious. Rooms clean and lovely pool and leisure facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I’m back in Manchester. Very close to trains and trams also. "
