"This place is, in the best possible way, a blast from the past! A nice, quaint roadside motel with a mountain vibe! Great views of the Catskills from the small hill where there’s a fire pit and Adirondack chairs for relaxation and lounging. Re-read Rip Van Winkle after a fantastic dinner at Deer Mountain Inn as it got dark looking upon the mountains where the story took place. Picturesque and perfect! "Laureen was very hospitable. She accomodated us every step of the way. There were clean sheets, comforters, pillows and sets of towels arranged in the room. The bathroom was also clean and there was hot water. Laureen checked in on us to see how we slept and if our needs were met. "The staff were amazing. I like the idea of the Spark hotels but this one had just opened and has some things to work out. First-they were overdoing cleaning with Fabulosa and our room stunk so bad we had to change rooms-the staff was very accommodating when changing our room. 2-towels were brand new/never washed so when you dried off with the towels you had little white fuzzies all over your body. 3-the floors looked dirty but it was just sloppy construction grout that was caked on the tile...
