"Staying at The Green Mountain Inn was an absolute delight. Built in 1833, the inn has a timeless charm that you can feel the moment you walk in. The property is filled with beautiful historic photos—both of the inn itself and the surrounding town—which made it feel like we were stepping into a living piece of Vermont history.
Our room was especially lovely. The décor was cozy and inviting, and the electric fireplace added the perfect touch of warmth and comfort. It made our mother‑daughter trip feel extra special and memorable.
The town of Stowe was just as charming as the inn. Cute shops, walkable streets, and that quintessential Vermont atmosphere made exploring the area a joy.
Overall, The Green Mountain Inn offered a unique, welcoming, and truly memorable stay. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our trip."
"The cooling system in the room was very loud. Kept me awake. Sheets were scratchy, not what one would expect from a luxury brand hotel. Beautiful spotlessly clean. Overall, update the rooms."
"Don't let the exterior of the building scare you! Exterior needs a touch up, but inside was very clean! Our room was impeccable, water pressure in shower was amazing! Front desk staff was super helpful with restaurant suggestions! Very nice stay!"
"I have lived in Burlington VT for 30 yrs after moving from Brooklyn NY & never stayed in the mountain so I went. The Innsbruck Inn had everything I needed ! Amazing buffet breakfast, 8 ft deep pool with 2 outdoor hot tubs, robes in the closet to go to sauna or hot tub in, river to fish in behind the property, an actual key for the door which had 2 doors (one to hallway and one directly outside) & I loved the nostalgic look of the grounds and even the Frigidaire fridge with the old school handle ! It was just perfect !"
Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier Tapestry Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great hotel. Almost across the capitol. Spacious room, great staff, and a restaurant on primacies. The hotel is a great deal for the value. Highly recommend for a stay"
"We stayed in the deluxe double queen on the second floor.
The room was confined, with very little space for anything. The floor was quite uneven and pitched to one side- so much so that you could feel it lying in bed.
The nordic-chic renovation was not very well constructed or thought out. The shelf with the kettle has no place to plug it in, for example. (The only place I could find to use it was on the floor- I would not place it on the wonky shelf on the pegboard wall.)
The bathroom is tiny with only a small shelf for a few toiletries.
The main space by the front desk is a nice area to hang out. They have comfy couches, good beer on tap and some snacks. The staff was accommodating and friendly.
Overall the accommodations are very basic."

Holiday rentals feature amenities such as kitchens and laundry facilities so you'll have a home away from home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, holiday rentals can offer a sense of security away from shared hotel lifts and bustling concierge desks while still allowing you the experience of travel.
