"If you are allergic to a cat, there is a lot of cats… I booked through Expedia. Upon arrival, the front desk couldn’t find my reservation and insisted on creating a new one with my card. After much insistence, they located it but had no room ready, forcing me to wait. Placed in a room with a strong urine smell (likely dog) in the bathroom. No room number signs in the hallway, and the same odor was in the main first-floor bathroom. No Wi-Fi password provided. Breakfast was okay. Photos on Expedia...

"Room was clean, but property as a whole is in need of a facelift. Pillows are ancient, yet mattress seems reasonable… breakfast very limited but in a clean dining area… bar seems to be in the old-school sports bar-with-character style. And Liberty itself has seen better days too. Overall, a peculiar mix of fine and “needs improvement”, but probably the best hotel in the immediate area."

"We enjoyed our stay at this Victorian B&B. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and cozy and we had a delicious breakfast. It is located on a main road and is easy to find. The inn is nicely appointed. We do enjoy the charm of an old historic dwelling and the antique furnishings. Adrienne is friendly and hospitable."

"My stay was wonderful overall! The only issue we experienced was that our cell phones only worked while connected to WiFi, which made it difficult at times to contact the host by call or text. Other than that, everything was great and we enjoyed our stay."

"The property was pretty but there were no instructions, no maps, and no explanations as to what the property had to offer when we got there. The pool was pretty dirty as well. Hopefully that will be cleaned soon and hoping for more often."

"My husband and I stayed at The Chatwal Lodge (about two hours from NYC) and it’s easily one of the best resorts we’ve been to. It feels incredibly private and secluded—it seemed like there were only ~20 guests on property—so the whole experience was calm and special. We booked the Treehouse, which was awesome: modern, spotless, and beautifully designed with a great vibe. "The owner is nice as can be, but unfortunately I have to be honest in this review- My night there was not pleasant by any means. Parking was a bit of an issue as the bar/restaurant loaded the parking lot and then there were cones out on the far end of the parking area which really made it hard to park. Front door to the room didn't entirely shut which allowed flying bugs into the room all night. There were gnats or something all over the room- on the pillow, on the bed, in the bathroom. ...

"The Staff were extremely kind, The little shop was quaint. The outside surrounding was eh. The room itself was a no thrills room and was tiny. It had new vinyl floors which was nice. But the bathroom was not updated at all. The bed was comfy. And the heat worked great, it got cold the night i stayed."

"The property is set on a beautiful stretch of land in a peaceful, quiet setting—an excellent choice if you’re looking for a serene environment. The breakfast is very good, and while the rooms are somewhat outdated, they are impeccably clean. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always helpful."
