"I decided to stay here because staying in Santa Cruz was too expensive. I rate this place a 3-star. It wasn't the worst, but it certainly felt like we stepped out of the country and were in a room at an Indian motel. The smell of the room was strong—kind of like incense. But nobody was burning one. One of the faucets was missing a drain stop, which automatically makes the bathroom look gross and poor. And the pillows were beyond ready for a replacement. "Let's first address the 'parking fee', it says you will be charged $22-$25 per day, who or what determines which you'll be charged? It cost us $49 to park at the hotel for 2 nights (which included a $1.50 per day 'service fee'.
Next, we did not ask for an ADA room, yet we got one. The bathtub did not have a non-slip mat (was very dangerous) and the shower head barely covered my 5'1" height!
With all the 'tourist' and other unexpected fees, we will NOT be staying with Hyatt again!"

"The hotel itself felt somewhat run-down. In the elevator, you could hear the cables or mechanical system pulling it up and down, and it came to a noticeably strong stop instead of moving smoothly and quietly.
The pool room and pool were both fairly small. The room was also very warm and had a strong chlorine smell, which made the enclosed space feel somewhat claustrophobic.

"Didn’t like how staff at check in desk didn’t ask where the room was and when we got to our room we called for additional towels and was told to come to front desk to get more which I didn’t appreciate having to go to front desk when it’s just towels also had a elevator experience where the door didn’t open and went to the level. Bathroom fan didn’t turn off when lights was turned off. I don’t plan to come back to this hotel. Too many small inconveniences that added up"
