Landscaping East Pit East Pit old chalk quarry is shortly to be opened to the public as a nature reserve. Here digger tracks show where the ground has been levelled to be more suitable for visitors on foot (and less suitable as an unofficial motorbike scramble venue). The blue cabin at the back is being used by a group of archaeologists.

Location excellent. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly BUT The bathroom area was awful - loud creaking push/pull door, a dangerous step up, hardly any space and the plug was clogged with dirty hair. Also the air conditioning was faulty.
