"Last-minute trip to Buffalo. Attended Sabres playoff game. The hotel had a convenient location in Buffalo. Not too far from the rail line to the game. Staff was very nice and helpful."

4/10 Poor
"Upon check in to the room, I noticed an ant in the bathroom. The thermostat did not work at all. The closest working ice machine was at least 4 floors away. When trying to eat at the restaurant it took a very long time to be acknowledged and served."
"Good breakfast. The guy who makes the omelettes could be more polite, and less aggressive.
Room was really nice however I found hair on my pillows and floor which did not belong to me.
Beautifully renovated. Nice amenities.
The parking situation is pretty bad. Had to find parking in the front of the hotel and the parking in downtown buffalo is pretty bad. Definitely recommend catching an uber to the property if possible.
Overall stay was great and the rooms are pretty big. The view from the room was picturesque. "
"Our 4th floor room was spacious and full of light with a lovely gas fireplace and street view. The bathroom was huge and the shower and amenities were great. Free glass of wine/beer is a nice touch. Breakfast was fine. It’s a lovely place but unfortunately our stay was not restful and it made us exhausted for the 3 nights and 4 days we stayed there. Fire alarms went off for 10 minutes the first night with no staff in sight or announcements telling sleepy guests what to do or if we needed to evacuate. It took ten minutes for fire trucks to arrive and promptly leave. No explanation or apologies were offered by staff the next morning, although when we inquired, we were told a steamy shower set off the alarms (huh??). It ruined our sleep for the night and we were exhausted at our daughter’s medical graduation the next day. The second night, we were shocked out of our sleep by fire crackers or something like it in the wee hours of the morning. The next night we were plagued by the all too common drag racers who rev their engines as they race up and down Delaware Avenue. This happens frequently and the cops don’t seem to care. It may have been quieter on the backside of the building but we will probably never find out. The other distraction is the heating system which is so loud and noisy and cycles on and off every few minutes throughout the night. As I said, lovely place but not at all restful. "
Hotel at the Lafayette Trademark Collection by Wyndham
8/10 Good
"This was a very unique hotel! Loved the old time look and decor! Staff was friendly, our room was not ready at the check in hour, we had to wait another 40 minutes before getting into the room. Our bed was not overly comfortable for us. They supposedly serve coffee till 2 pm, but after that they don’t. No coffee shops close to the hotel. Rooms are nice and unique in themselves, the doors to the rooms are solid wood, beautiful."
