"If you want a quaint, authentic Costa Rican stay, this place is for you. I feel the poor reviews come from people expecting a luxury resott despite paying less than half the price. The rooms were clean, the staff was kind and helpful, and we saw so many different animals right at thr hotel. We saw scarlet macaws, squirrel monkeys, agouti, and iguanas daily, some up close. Howler monkeys visited on 2 of our 8 days. It was a perfect experience."

"Very bare bones accommodations, right on the busy main road. Don’t expect a feeling of tranquility. For the price, it’s a place to get some AC for one night."

"In a nutshell It is a dump Be ready to walk up and down very steep steps with your luggage No hot water hope you like cold showers if you stay there Can’t keep your ac on if you step out. So if you step out and it’s 90 F it will be 90 F in the room when you return There is no staff to help with tours or basic needs, dining area is filthy.
