"Our room was very spacious, but basic. No frills at all. The heated pool was lovely, but after swimming peacefully for about 15 minutes my husband joined me and so did a staff member. She sat on a chair and did a speaker phone call with family (including an excited, screaming child) and ruined the whole peaceful o space. We wound up leaving and he didn’t swim because it was just awkward. A shame because that’s why we chose this hotel. The woman at the restaurant was amazingly kind. Overall it...

"The place is pretty basic but has a rustic feel about it. Bring your own honey or jam for the morning as they down’s supply it. Also you have to pay for coffee even when breakfast is included. At my level of room the washrooms were quite a distance from the room and needed an upgrade. However, if you like the rustic, village type, and want to make your own breakfast then this is the place. Top Cao Son Hotel Reviews

Mai Chau Mountain View Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had a fantastic stay at the resort. The complimentary bikes made it easy and enjoyable to get around, and the atmosphere was incredibly quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The staff were amazing throughout our stay—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We were fortunate to experience a traditional dance performance at the resort, which was a real highlight, and seeing the fireflies in the evening made the experience even more memorable. The location was absolutely stunning and provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended."

Avana Retreat

"I had a wonderful stay and honestly the staff could not have been more helpful. I felt incredibly spoiled and well looked after. The spa, gym and yoga were all enjoyable and the restaurants and breakfast options were also great. Can’t recommend it enough if you want a nice relaxing few days away from the chaos of hanoi!"
