"Strange security system that requires you to be buzzed in upon arrival at the hostel, but if no one is at the reception desk, you just have to patiently wait until someone shows up to buzz you in (as I did for several minutes when I checked at around 2:30 pm on a weekday)."

"The service was superb. Property shows some wear after 10 years. Pool wasn’t heated as should be. Location is great and the simple but efficient beach service is a nice touch. Hopefully I’ll come back next year."

"The toilet was already blocked with the first time using it. We asked at the reception to fix it but they did not. The shower kept dripping the entire time and the bed was also not that comfortable. The location is good and the breakfast was also really good."

"This is a great location. The breakfast is actually very good there are many options and many of the staff were welcoming however I was disappointed at check in the host was very cold did not explain how the elevators work the hostess of the restaurant was kind and came ove to show me. Also I choose to stay at this place because I had heard great things about the roof top and I was not able to use on the night I checked, the form of imforning, was very impersonal. "The hotel’s location is great, steps to Copacabana Beach and a short was to Pedra do Arpoador and Ipanema Beach. But the hotel is in serious need of an upgrade. Everything was dingy and the ancient bathroom tiles showed evidence of repairs. The safe didn’t work and wasn’t attached to the wall or shelf. The breakfast buffet was good and front desk staff were responsive and helpful."

"Breakfast menu wasn’t all that compared to other places I’ve been to around the world. Spent 4 nights and was bored of the food by the 3rd morning- no variety. "

"Very clean hotel overall. Nice bed and shower. The breakfast is delicious and the service is great truly! The view is lovely There is one remark, they don’t have blackout curtains, the light of the Copacabana shine trough the curtains which was a bit annoying in the mornings. "
