Once stepping onto the property we felt the calmness, away from the hustle and bustle of people hurriedly moving along the streets. The courtyard with the pizza oven was a highlight for us. "Le Petit Pali was one of those places that looks much cuter online than it feels in person. I know some people love quirky boutique hotels, but for us, it honestly felt more like a glorified old motel with cute decor layered on top. The fact that there were ear plugs left in the room should have been our first clue. Between the noise and the overall vibe, it just never felt relaxing or luxurious. "Look no further if you want a reasonable price, fantastic location and very accommodating rooms this is a great place. Easily walkable to any area of Carmel by the sea. Close to restaurants, shopping, and only a couple blocks down to the most beautiful beach. Many of our friends also talk about what a great place this is. We do like the room with the fireplace. Plenty of Closet and dresser space,. The pool is very good for the late afternoon sun after all the activities. Breakfast is efficient...

"Don’t stay in room 202. We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and can say this room let us down. It’s attached to bathrooms for the hotel on one wall and just above is the maid’s quarters so think thumping and dropping all day and night. This was our favorite hotel but this last stay was not good. "

"This was a really nice place to stay! Great location, close to the beach and restaurants, and the landscaping and all the flowers were gorgeous! The room was older but really clean and comfortable. I appreciated having access to the hot tub and outdoor fireplace and while I did not partake, the happy hour was a nice touch. The breakfast basket was also appreciated. The reception person seemed indifferent but I felt taken care of nonetheless. All in all, I'd stay here again."
