"We reserved a King suite. It was very nice. The bathroom shower door had some black mold on the track. So, a little more attention to detail is recommended.
The outside was lackluster for Frankenmuth. Weeds in the landscape, debris on the ground and parking lot. Not very well maintained.
The pool area was ok. The tile flooring and the wall tile along the floor was dirty and scummy. Probably time for a cleaning.
Breakfast was ok. Nothing special serving rubber sausage and pre-made eggs.
If you're coming in the middle of the week and stay til Saturday, watch out for the rate gouge of another $100. During the week it is around $170 a night and then $254 on Friday and weekends. No additional services or additional amenities, just a greedy gouge because they can.
Overall, I expected better from a Frankenmuth Hotel. I grew up in the area and know how important it is to uphold the image of a perstigeous property for tourism.
I'd say Fairfield fell a little short of that expectation."
