"Though the property is only a couple of years old, the handle fell off the shower door, an electrical outlet was missing a cover and bedding was torn and frayed at a corner. The rooms were clean, as was the casino. Room service food was surprisingly tasty. It took three tries to check into our two rooms, which were not ready at the advertised check in time. The minibar in one room wasn’t stocked with snacks. Couldn’t get the fridge door open if I’d wanted to enjoy a beverage. There’s some kind of high tech display that charges you for a snack item if you just pick it up off the display rack. Had to go back to the front desk to ask for info about where amenities were located, and still couldn’t find the pool. The exercise room looked clean and well maintained. Overall, it wasn’t an experience I’d choose to repeat. It wasn’t a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, except for the valets, who were great every time we needed anything. The manager on duty at check out mostly made excuses for the poor service and as much as said that if you book through apps like Expedia you don’t deserve the best service. A return visit to Cripple Creek will be at a different hotel/casino. "
