"The room was not serviced on two days out of four - the reason given was that the housekeeper did not work those days. The restaurant was closed for evening meals at short notice. The entrance door was closed and locked early in the evening and my keys did not work on occasions."

"The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine. All staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient - really good service. The restaurant menu was excellent. "The room was fairly small. The bed was very UNCOMFORTABLE. We couldn’t change rooms as they were sold out. However, it probably wouldn’t have made a difference. There’s no refrigerator or microwave in the room. There’s no ice machine. We went to the bar to get ice, and were given a small bucket with about 4cups of ice. The restaurant is on the expensive side, and not great options. Overall 2/5 experience."

"Beautiful room, very clean. My only concern was that there was only one double socket for your mobile devices, which meant cycling them to recharge. Perhaps bring an extension lead. Breakfast was good as it had vegan options too."
