"After a week on a river boat, we booked a night at Hartley House and thoroughly enjoyed it. We felt right at home and the hostess, Kate was remarkable in how she went above and beyond in order to meet our needs. This is the true Ireland in an old, historic house in a quiet country area. A very memorable stay with a wonderful big breakfast. "

"Gorgeous! The property is right on the ocean with beautiful Mountain View’s. Inside is impeccably decorated. It’s a five minute drive to an ocean cold plunge and sauna with a view of Benbulbin. The bed is comfy. As an American, the shower is 10/10 luxury, and downstairs the food is incredible. We will be back again! No notes!"

"We have stayed here before and received the usual warm welcome from the owner. The location is to the east of Carrick town, on a side road set back from the M4. The accommodation is quiet though. Bedrooms are cosy and homely.. A good breakfast in the dining room is ensured. Plenty of safe parking space."

"We were very happy with our room. The bed was so comfortable , the layout was great. I loved that they had 2 chairs and a table in between to watch tv as well as have a tea and coffee with a little biscuit .Free bottled water . They also included little extras like manicure set, toothpicks, toiletries . Bedside tables and lamps on both sides of the bed. We loved our stay , as good as any big hotel. Didn’t get to sample breakfast as we had an early start. Easy parking and easy checkout too.Not...
