We weren't expecting the room to be serviced after the first night on a two night stay, but it was, unasked, including setting up a drying rack for the clothes we had washed and hung the night before. "This place was absolutely charming with lots of characteristics!! We stayed 2 nights in the room 'Moon River'(queen size bed). The room was very clean, spacious and with lovely big windows. We appreciated the attention in the small details. Breakfast was great and met our needs (cold and hot options). The location was excellent and walking distance (15min) to old town of Sintra (keep in mind you're on a mountain so lots of hills/steep climbs). "The staff was super friendly and made some great recommendations for us for dining. I have to say after reading some of the bad reviews I was a bit worried about staying there. However, the room was quiet and all the staff including cleaning staff were lovely people. I would stay here again as it is the perfect location for Lisbon. Next door is a great fado restaurant. It’s across the street from the St George Cadethral and 5’minites from the castle. "
