"I like that it is not carpeted and the sheets are white. The floor has not been moped because my daughter walked barefooted and ended up with black with dirt foot soles. The lavatory and bathroom is clean. The bed is comfortable. The towels had stains on it but they changed it right away when we requested for a new one."

"Very friendly and helpful folks at the front desk. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Smart TV, microwave, coffee maker, and cool red retro mini-fridge with freezer were nice to have in the room. Yummy cookies provided upon check-in, two free water bottles in the room and continental breakfast (pastries, breads, fruit, coffee, etc) were also appreciated. Location is terrific if visiting Hearst Castle. We’d stay there again."

"Clean and neat rooms. A late evening check in was pleasant and helpful. New bathroom fixtures and flooring were nice updates. Bed was soft and comfortable. Centrally located and within easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I would stay here again."

"Vicky at the front desk gave me a warm welcome after a long drive and that set the tone for the whole stay. The rooms are small but comfortable and there were no noisy guests."

"Very clean. I was impressed at first glance. But, there were a few things that make this place less desirable. The sink and counter top area is outside the toilet and shower area. But, the counter is not within reach of the shower door. No place to set clothing for changing after a shower. I really don't like having no place to put things in the shower area. Another issue is the beds. I felt like I was sleeping on a bowl of jello. Sheets and bedding were clean, but the mattress was jiggly. The...

"Clean, very comfortable beds, very basic, nice garden area with flowers, excellent location, next to beautiful beach, just minutes to Monterey, Carmel, wonderful hiking trails, kayaking, bike trail. Next door to Denny's for breakfast. Bring your own amenities: soap, shampoo, blowdryer."
