"We booked a 1-night stay through Hotels.com. We arrived late at night after my performance. We were given a room on the 2nd floor, promptly unpacked, and went to bed as I had a matinee performance the next day. Shortly after putting out the light, we were disturbed by the sound of a tram rolling by loudly. This continued the whole night. Turns out the track was right outside our window. Even with a white noise app, there was no getting away from the periodic rumblings—and yes, vibrations—of the tram service. We were too tired to get dressed and ask for another room after unpacking all our things. We tried to sleep but it was one of the worst nights I've ever spent in any hotel. The queen bed mattress wasn't even comfortable. I tried the chair instead and it was equally uncomfortable. My Apple Watch confirmed I barely slept that night. It was not the night of rest we paid for and very much needed. In the morning, when I complained to the manager, he responded "Well, you booked through a third party site. If you had gone to our site directly you would have had the option to pick a room on the other side of the hotel." Wrong answer all around. We shouldn't be penalized for using a third party site if it offered a better price. And it's simply outrageous for any hotel to offer rooms adjacent to any kind of train tracks and not make that abundantly clear on ALL site at the time of booking. Only after a great deal of back and forth did he grant us a partial refund. Never again."

"Using the service elevators sucked, they smelled and access to the buttons was usually blocked. The shower did not drain, I was standing in 2” of water the entire time. Bathroom lighting was terrible plus there was either no fan in the bathroom or if there was, it didn’t work. I come to NYC often for work, but will not be staying here again. The staff was very friendly though. "

"It was a great deal and overall stay for the area. This is the third place we stayed in that immediate area near the Fulton St. Station in that price range. This was the best.$37 credit being an Expedia VIP member got us two drinks. Upstairs bar very nice. Downside, no breakfst options at all. Need to go out for it. $16 per night for use of Netpresso machine, some okay snacks, and bottled water. Gym was above average. Discounted Parking was $45 a night three blocks away. Good deal for area."
