"We were privileged to stay in this palace. When driving up to the building you get a feeling for the grandure, but on entering the reception it's jaw droppingly impressive. The staff were very helpful and happy to share their knowledge of the history of the building. The breakfast was excellent. The woodland grounds are beautiful, we spent a day exploring with a picnic (you have to be fit, it's very steep in places) The room was clean and functional but not at all luxurious. Come to this...

Paulo was super helpful at providing us with food recommendations and helping us create an itinerary for our time there. Jose was the first friendly face we saw, he helped us unload our luggage and parked our car at the garage."
