"A smaller, family owned property with a unique look and feel. It has inside corridors that I’m amazed are not the norm for non-corp properties in this climate. Must be a bit brutal in cold, winter weather. The room was clean, basic and the bed was very comfortable. I had a great sleep. No phone (who uses those anymore anyway) and no coffee maker.
There are almost no plugs available which in today’s world is a challenge. I thought the TV was broken until I discovered someone had unplugged it, undoubtedly to get access to a plug. The common area is small but cozy with an open staircase to the second floor. There are tables for breakfast and coffee. It was a reasonable spread and I enjoyed it.
Everyone was friendly ann welcoming until the last minute as I departed. A gentleman at the desk was talking to staff on his radio and was clearly annoyed that I was interrupting to ask a question. I’m ignoring that in my ratings and I would choose this property the next time I stay in the area."
