"I loved the aesthetics of the hotel. The rooms are small with enough space for 2 people to be comfortable. The staff was really nice and pleasant. The first elevator is super super slow and the shower has a rain shower head only."

My only complaint for a not 5 star was that there were slightly large bugs in our room, not on the bed but on the floor, I’m only assuming since it’s dark with the solar lighting. But day 1 there was no air conditioning in the room on the hottest 2 days of this year thus far. We were in the biggest heat wave. I was told the AC was being worked on and they gave out all their fans. So I had to go to Walmart to buy a fan so I would not get sick. I have autoimmune conditions that get extremely flared with extensive heat. I feel the managers of this property should be up...

"Nice hotel, old, neat building. No pool which was my oversight for child purposes. Not a bad walk to Comerica… we enjoyed our stay! Breakfast onsite is pricey but decent. Would visit this hotel again."

"Our stay here was exceptional except you weren't allowed to bring outside food in or DoorDash. I understand that since they have a restaurant on-site but it closes earlier than we thought. We were in town for a concert and wanted a bite to eat afterwards but just went to be a bit hungry lol. We probably could have found somewhere to dine but it was 11 pm on a Wednesday...not many dine in spots hence the need for DoorDash. I would absolutely stay here again despite that minor inconvenience....

"The good: The hotel and rooms are clean and in good shape. The staff are friendly. The bad: The hotel was short-staffed (room cleaning was skipped due to an admitted shortage), there was heavy marijuana smoke in the main hallway that crept into rooms one night (even with a 100% smoke-free policy), and there were inadequate quantities of basic breakfast items on two of four mornings (ran out of eggs and milk)."
