"The breakfast was adequate but they needed a second person replenishing the food, there was a football tournament in town so there were tons of kids on Saturday morning all trying to eat breakfast."
"Parking is free but its a small lot. There are tons of homeless people so safety is a potential concern. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. The front desk staff isn't very friendly. The location isn't bad. Its about a ten minute walk to the civic center and mall. Overall its an ok place to stay for the price but if you can find something similarly priced I'd encourage you to do so. "
Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Downtown/Civic Center
4/10 Poor
"First of all, hotels.com website lists in the amenities that there is free parking. One of the reasons I booked the room. There isn’t free parking. Second, the room had a drain stopped up that I had to report several times and get worked on several times to finally get it fixed. The manager wasn’t helpful at all about the free parking question. Basically told me it wasn’t his problem and to contact hotels.com. They can honor the reservation but not the rest of the amenities listed in said ad. This will be the last time I book that hotel and probably be the last time I use hotels.com since their ad listed it wrong and cost me even more money. My cousin booked through hotels.com and got a bigger, nicer room a lot cheaper. That’s still a head scratcher "
