"Really disappointed with the service...there was no microwave in room...téléphone was not working...bathroom exhaust didn't work..evening after complaining nobody took it seriously...reception staff really laid back...will not recommend spending hard earned money on this property...we stayed there 2 nights...requested to change the room...nobody listened..."

"Location,breakfast, pool and spa made us choose this hotel. Breakfast was very good, more than expected.They even had scrambled eggs. Pool and spa had FULL of screaming children which was not very relaxing. Rooms need tlc and are outdated. A little section with a few tables outside would be appreciated. Front desk staff was not rude but not very friendly either.They did not seem to like their job.Overall OK but would not stay more than 1 night.Location was great.Next to many restaurants."

"showerhead doesn't move and flooded the bathroom toilet never stops moving water throughout the night and no it's not the handle being down bathroom smells like mildew jacuzzi in the executive suite floods over the tub because the spout lacks a little plastic cap and it spurts in a 360 jet moving a large amount of water straight to the floor and tub lip room smells extremely smoked in huge mirror held onto the wall with duct tape of 6 provided bath towels for the leaks and tub, 1 had holes and a few smelled like kitchen oil for some reason bed is okay window doesn't open and the smoke smell permeates your clothes heater doesn't work tv works jacuzzi and it's jets in the were okay besides the leaks but there is no real protection against mist or dampness exiting into the room so all the walls felt wet would not recommend unless you really want a jacuzzi for under 90cad"

"I like my stay at the hotel. Parking is free, not so busy. Easy to commute to downtown and other cities. The breakfast includes many options. My favorite are coffee and boiled eggs. My room type was king suite which is very large. The bathroom has a big bath tub and a shower. "

"The property was cute and located in a very walkable, convenient area. Check-in and check-out were simple and hassle-free. The free washer and dryer were a huge plus."

"Our stay at Hotel Universal was pleasant and convenient. We were in from Calgary for the Canadian Championships for soccer and it was only a 1/2 block away. The staff were helpful and the restaurant was good food. I would recommend this hotel."
