"Fint hotel, veldig sentralt. Greit å få avklart på forhånd ang.tidlig utsjekk. Vi ville forlate hotellet før kl.8, men måtte betale turistskatt. Det var ingen som kunne ta i mot betalingen, de som jobbet i resepsjonen var ikke der. Det ordnet seg, men tok litt tid å få det avklart. Ellers fint med basseng og matbutikk rett over veien. "

"Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. "I absolutely loved the view from the double doors in my room and its balcony, the comfortable bed, the silence between my room and others (I was only on floor 3 but it was very quiet), the grandeur of the hotel although it is almost like a slight pastiche of itself as some of it is a tiny bit jaded/faded. The carpet in my room and garishly tiled but classically designed bathroom are both approximately 40+ years old but I found really comforting as it reminded me of staying at my grandparents! ...
