Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you prepare well enough. Check out these handy hints that will help get your Agra holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for flat, enclosed footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
