If you’re not prepared, travelling can be tough. But don’t hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy hints and enjoy a pleasant start to your holiday in Armenia. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having a worry-free flight experience is to pack in advance. Start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, cash and important medications. Next, bring items that’ll help while away those hours, like some electronic gadgets or a juicy novel. It’s also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earphones. Last but not least, don’t forget to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight is often as simple as your choice in clothes. Prepare for temperature changes by bringing layers. This will keep you nice and warm if the cabin gets too cold. Shoes like flip flops and heels are best left in your checked suitcase. Instead, go for flat, closed-toed footwear like slip-ons. Your feet will appreciate it.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help lower your risk.
