If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a trouble-free start to your getaway in Bac Lieu. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
