Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Bachok could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a pain-free flight experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, official ID, credit cards and daily medications. Next, take on board items that'll help pass the time, like your laptop or a thrilling book. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. And of course, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
