We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our insider tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and having a blast in Boca de Yuma in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
