No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Busua holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, travel documents, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you plan to take a quick snooze, a quality neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
